Blaze Box

Privacy policy

Effective October 15, 2026

Blaze Box is an Android app that lets you browse and manage photos and videos in your own Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive accounts. This policy describes what the app handles and where that information stays.

Cloud accounts

When you sign in, Box, Dropbox, or Google gives the app a token so it can act for you. The app stores that token on your phone. Blaze Box does not run an account system and does not keep a database of users.

With that token the app can list folders, show thumbnails, play photos and videos, cast them, upload, download, rename, move, delete, and share files in the account you connected. Signing out of a service in Settings removes that service’s token from the phone.

Files

Your files stay in Box, Dropbox, or Google Drive. To play or cast a file, the phone requests it from that service. Blaze Box does not upload your library to a server of its own.

Casting

When you cast, the phone sends the photo or video over your local network to the TV. The TV does not receive your Box, Dropbox, or Google password.

PIN

If you set a PIN, it is stored only on the phone and is asked for when the app starts cold. It is not sent to Blaze Box.

Ads

The app shows ads through Google AdMob, including a banner on folder screens and a full-screen ad before a video opened from a folder. Google can collect information such as an advertising identifier, IP address, and device details under Google’s privacy policy. Blaze Box does not sell your files.

Children

Blaze Box is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
